NASA has a specific machine that measures energy. When a Reiki practitioner put their hands
beneath it, the machine simply registered a normal human body energy field. But when the Reiki
practitioner was requested to “switch on” their Reiki energy as though they were giving a Reiki
treatment, this powerful machine suddenly showed light streaming brightly from the hands.
Surprisingly, the light didn’t just stream solely from the palms but also from the fingers and
specifically the finger tips. Simultaneously as the light was visibly seen on the screen, the
machine recorded a huge 1,000 increase in energy emitting from the hands. When the Reiki
practitioner was asked to “switch off”, the light vanished and the machine recorded normal
human body energy levels again.
SCIENTIFIC STUDIES PROVING EFFECTIVENESS OF ENERGY HEALING
Called by a variety of names, energy healing has been practiced throughout history in many cultures. The practitioners and the receivers of energy healing have always known its effectiveness, even when mainstream western medical science did not. Evidence to prove these claims has been mainly anecdotal or the studies relating to them have been on a small scale and not taken seriously by the medical establishment.
More recently, scientists are beginning to conduct larger controlled studies on energy healing, and guess what?! They are proving the effectiveness of this modality. Gloria Gronowicz's research at UConn Medical Center is very exciting. Her research concluded that "Therapuetic Touch significantly decreased mineralization and message levels for bone matrix proteins in the osteosarcoma-derived cell lines suggesting that Therapeutic Touch may inhibit mineralization of bone tumors". And also concluded that "Therapeutic Touch appears to stimulate normal cell growth and inhibit some human osteosarcoma derived cells suggesting that Therapeutic Touch may promote normal cell growth and not growth of cancer cells."
